Vinyl siding

The house with the green siding, is an example of our Vinyl Siding. Released in the 1950s, to compete with Aluminum Siding, Vinyl Siding is made of synthetic, durable plastic polymer called polyvinyl chloride that withstands up to 110 mph winds and is our most popular siding option.

Since Vinyl Siding is made of plastic, it expands and contracts up to half its size, so you won’t need to buy as much of it as other siding types. In comparison to other siding, Vinyl Siding is often an inexpensive and affordable siding option. However,Vinyl Siding is susceptible to dents, color fading potential cracking in extremely cold weather, and can be difficult to replace individual pieces. With maintenance, Vinyl Siding can last anywhere from 20 to 40 years.

Hardie plank siding

The yellow siding on the house showcases our Hardie Plank Siding. #2 on list, Hardie Plank Siding is a fiber cement siding and is extremely durable and resistant to rain, wind, humidity, and hail damage.

Being made of cement, Hardie Plank Siding is more insulated and is less likely to rot or warp than most siding. Hardie Plank Siding is generally more durable and long-lasting than Vinyl Siding. Since it’s more durable, Hardie Plank Siding may last anywhere from 30 to 50 years.

Aluminum siding

Last, but not least, our third most popular siding is Aluminum Siding. Aluminum Siding is durable and resistant to extreme temperatures, insects, rot, fire, and rain damage.

However, since Aluminum Siding is metal, the siding is more susceptible to dents, scraps, and discoloration than Vinyl and Hardie Plank Siding. If properly maintained, Aluminum Siding can last 20 to 30 years.

  • Shake Siding

The yellow in this picture is Shake Siding. Shake Siding usually has a rougher appearance than other sidings.

  • Board & Batten Siding

Board & Batten Siding adds a more rustic feel to your home. Board & Batten Siding consists of vertical panels attached by “battens” (a thin of wood).

  • Dutch Lap Siding

Dutch Lap Siding is made of horizontal panels with a curvature that gives an illusion of depth and added detail to your home.

  • Masonry Siding

Masonry Siding can be either brick or stone and gives your home the classic “home” look and adds texture.
